Piddington Village Hall

200 Club

What is it?

Over the years, the Piddington 200 Club has been a great way to support Piddington Village Hall while at the same time offering the chance to win up to £120 a year.

In the 2018/19 200 Club year, 150 numbers were sold totalling £1,800 with prize money distributed of £780. Over the last ten years just over £11,000 has been raised that has helped to fund major projects at the hall including the new kitchen and storeroom.

How does it work?

  • You buy a number at £12 per number per year. This number then belongs to you (or whoever it is allocated to) for as long as you are a paid-up member of the 200 Club. You can buy as many numbers as you like!
  • Each number participates in 12 monthly draws per year.
  • Every draw has a first prize of £30, a second prize of £20, a third prize of £10 and a fourth prize of £5.
  • All money left over goes to support the village hall.

The small print

The annual payment of £12 is due in June
each year. Entry to the draw will be made only if the payment has been received by us.

Village volunteers collect 200 Club payments in the run-up to the annual payment deadline in June. New residents will of course be able to join the 200 Club at any time of the year, and pay only for the months remaining until the following June, at which time their next annual payment will be due.

All the numbers are included in each monthly draw. The draw is made in public by at least two PVHMC members, usually at the Pop-Up Pubs held on the last Friday of each month. The results will be posted on this website, on all village noticeboards and in Parish Matters magazine. If for any reason the draw has to be cancelled, then it will be held as soon as possible thereafter.

Winnings will be distributed as soon as possible after each draw.

The remaining funds after the prize money has been deducted will be used to the benefit of the Village Hall as decided upon by the PVHMC.

Notices about any changes to the scheme will be made via this website and by written notice posted on village noticeboards.

What do I do next?

Or download an application form and drop it into the postbox outside the Village Hall.

Increase your chances of winning by having an extra number - only £12 per year (pro rata from June).
