Around the village

Piddington through the year

Events and activities

One of Piddington’s best-loved traditions was the annual visit of Father Christmas. Villagers – and people from further afield – followed his sleigh around the village, with frequent stops to allow children to scramble aboard for a magical ride. The whole procession ended up at the village hall for mulled wine and mince pies, and at that point everyone knew that Christmas had really begun. Sadly, he can no longer visit us in person, but while he was able to, he made Piddington a very special place.
